    Red Gloss

Attached is an updated outlook on finance.

I've told all the family to forget easter eggs etc the money will be fine .

I wonder if I'll find someone who wants to purchase my old light controllers for about $500 (8 switches that can handle 7 lights each, and the main brain that can operate 24v lights)...

I have to submit my lights order (everything written in blue above the line) before the 31st of March.

I'll also need to order the light controllers soon if I want to be given a a special discount (of about $15 per controller). Shipping will be the killer though as without the high costs each controller would only be able $130 each.

If only I knew about these controllers in 2005 before I started computerising heh.

Normally I would have already begun sequencing for the current year, but I can't do that until I purchase the software for the new controllers (and its much cheaper to buy it bundled with the controllers)

(PS: that automatically updating weekly money requirement calculation took me an hour or so to figure out!)

Oh you! Working *and* studying at the same time would leave no time to actually assemble the display.

Come now, I work, I study, I have four kids, I have 4 pets, I have a house to run, I have a forum to moderate. You should have plenty of time to get a job, study and still assemble the actual display.

    *Please note*
Nowhere in my post did I mention that I have time to sleep or socialise, these two items are luxuries and are highly overrated (apparently)

I'm up to $825 now (of $2,092). Easter helped, lol.

Today is the deadline for submitting the order of lights (not payment, but commiting to payment in August). Its a hard decision what to cut out. No matter what I cut out it seems to leave an uneven spread of light. Example I could leave off the extra red lights for the Mega Tree, but that'd mean more blue/white than red. I also thought about canning one of the new 'features' but the feature won't cost much as its using older lights I already have.

Its also unfortunate that one of my light friends hasn't decided if he wants to buy my old computer controllers (at $450-$500). He hasn't really started thinking about Christmas lights yet... STILL! Guess it shows how.... interested... I am with Christmas displays. That's just putting it LIGHTly (pun intended? You decide heh)

Edit: Bummer, the guy's going overseas for a holiday and isn't spending a cent this year on his display. Dango.

The order for computer Christmas light controllers has also been submitted during their sale period.

Should have saved up to $100 there.

Lights are estimated to arrive in August/September and controllers are estimated to arrive in September or early October.

There is still a little more money to raise, but nevertheless the wheels are in motion.

Due to the falling Australian dollar, the total cost has risen to $2011 so far.

I'm presently about $325 short of the target. I have not yet received the prize of $170 that I won from Behind Big Brother, although I was informed that processing time would be about 2-3 weeks so shouldn't be too much longer.

The Christmas light controllers (Light-O-Rama brand) have arrived at Australian customs awaiting clearance to be sent on to me.

Once the controllers arrive it'll be time for me to wire them up (with the manual it shouldn't be too hard) and then get an electrician to come in and install a new high ampage electrical circuit (it is one with funny plugs that you don't usually see in homes)
